I have a comment but chose to keep it to myself. I'll give some stupid, meaningless, asinine shout out to whoever can tell me what my comment is.

Cavs absolutely quit within the first three minutes of the start of the second half. Granted, once the Celtics get a double-digit lead in the second half at home, your odds of winning are slim to none, but you could just put a stamp on each blue jersey on the floor for the mail-in job they did. Deplorable.

I just don't understand what the Cavs are trying to do on offense. Ilgauskas comes out on fire draining jump shots off passes in the first quarter. I think he got one or two such looks in the last three quarters combined. Ilgauskas is NOT an effective scorer playing with his back to the basket. Get him into position to face up and shoot the 15-17 footer. He hit those in the first quarter, and LeBron had room to attack the basket. They quit feeding the big man, suddenly LeBron turns into a jump shooter the rest of the night. And I think a couple of those shots nearly broke the rim. Yikes.

How about running a play or two to get Daniel Gibson or Delonte West some shots from the perimeter? And, Ben Wallace's mystery ailment aside (Akron Beacon Journal writer Brian Windhorst said at first they were told it was vertigo, but then told it wasn't), exactly what is Varejao doing to justify staying on the floor? Train wreck.

Which about sums up the Cavs' collective effort tonight. Just disheartening. If you're gonna get beat, go down swinging.

I would have, but I was on desk. I wanted to see the Hornets put the Spurs in a 3-0 hole, but knew that probably wasn't likely. I'll settle for 3-1, if I can get it.

That all pretty much sums up the Mike Brown era of Cavs basketball.

Just so you know, cheering for the Hornets means cheering for George Shinn.

    FUCK. THAT.

Well ... technically you were right. Not that 6-for-24 is anything to bust out the anointing oil over.

Judging by his demeanor on the bench I wasn't sure if that was Mike Brown or Art Shell.

And yeah, the NBA talk on here has been surprisingly limited. I'm not sure it's an indication of the NBA's popularity because the NHL has been getting much more talk here, but -- and I could be wrong -- I'm thinking the NBA does much better ratings than the NHL. Must just be a disproportionate amount of puck fans around here and disproportionate lack of hoop fans.

Also, as someone else pointed out somewhere the playoffs haven't been that good. As great and bunched up as the regular season was in the West there has been a lack of competitive seven game series thus far. And even in some of the close series, like Hawks-Celts, there haven't been a bunch of close games, just different teams winning the games. I think that's hurting the excitement. Spurs-Hornets could turn out to be a good one, and if Billups can't go the Magic could certainly get back into it. The Lakers look untouchable right now, and as good as the C's look right now, they looked just as good after two with Atlanta, we'll see what happens tomorrow night. LeBron has to snap out of it at some point, doesn't he?

You'll schurely want to revisit that post.

And I'll also always believe that the ludicrous NBA scheduling kills the momentum of the playoffs. If games were at most every other night people could actually get into a series because they'd know when the games are on and wouldn't have to wait two, or even three, nights to watch the next game. Big time example of cutting off your nose in spite of your face to me. You space the games to get bigger TV ratings, but you'd get much better ratings if fans were knew when the next game would be and there wasn't so much down time between games.

Am I the only one who still wouldn't be shocked to see the Spurs pull out this series?

Obviously, they have to win Game 4, but if they do, pushing it to seven doesn't seem like a stretch. And Game 7s are a coin flip.
