I'd be more worried if every other team in this round wasn't struggling so bad on the road. They do look vulnerable. I'm agreeing with Barkley right now -- they don't get easy shots because they're three best players are jump shooters. This has been the case all year, but somehow it never got exposed. If/when they lose at home obviously I'll be concerned, but I learned last round and from the first 4 in this that they have played completely different home and away.

    No. '88 Lakers had nine.

Yeah, but while the other teams took care of business on the road in the first round, the Celtics couldn't do it then, either ... and that was against a Hawks team that had no business even making the playoffs, let alone playing in a Game 7.

Tonight's game is yet another example of just how bad the East is -- frankly, these two teams suck and if (a big if) Detroit decides to show up (and Billups is healthy) the Pistons will sweep whoever wins this series.

Garnett, Ray Allen and Pierce -- and you score 12 points in the fourth quarter against the Cavaliers? That's a disgrace. No wonder the three of them are ZERO-FOREVER in terms of winning rings......

I honestly believe outside of Detroit there is not a team in the East who would have even made the playoffs in the West, and the Pistons would have been about the seventh or eighth seed.

Hey Zag...you may have missed the regular season, but the Celtics were 25-5 against the West including the first Texas Triangle sweep since Sacremento in '01. They've been mediocre (and that's being kind) in the playoffs, but to say the C's wouldn't have been a Top 3 seed in the West is ridiculous.

Did you guys see Varajeo's intensity? He really set the tone for the last three minutes of the fourth quarter.

His perm distracted me, must have missed it.

He was tusslin' with KG. I swore KG was going to snap, yell in his face and shank him.

Man did the Q rock tonight. When LeBron threw down that dunk you'd have thought he slammed Art Modell's head through the rim.

Yes, Varejao is one of those pesky role players who can do the dirty work. I'd take him on my team anyday. And I love Delonte West's game, I've met him on a few occasions in Boston and he's one of my favorites. But Wally not so much...from what I hear, he was universally hated by last season's Celtics roster. He's soft.

I'm still wondering why Doc played Glen freaking Davis in crunch time.

So it's gotten that bad that we're saying Boston -- who isn't dead by the way!! -- couldn't have even made the playoffs in the West?
That's a bit over the top.
It all comes back to killer instinct. This team has shown absolutely none -- zero, nothing -- none. Flashes of it, bits and pieces of it -- but not once for an entire game when they needed it. And Game 7 last round was a combo of a bit of that, and Atlanta shitting its pants.
There aren't any pants shitters this late in the playoffs.
Hold the hell on to your seats Beantowners, LeBron's pissed and he's coming to push your house down if you don't WAKE THE HELL UP!
Believe me, I've seen him do it before. You can keep telling yourself that you have the better team -- and you do -- but when that kid puts his mind to it, there isn't a combo of five people in the league right now that can stop him.

About that, that team in San Antonio might want to have a word with you there....
