From the National Newspaper Association. Interesting read on how the suit could drive up printing costs

    Story Link on NNA

"Findings by the Commerce Department could lead to imposition of duties on Canadian newsprint as high as 50 percent, causing dramatically higher paper prices for U.S. newspapers."

Man, I don't know how many times I heard the "well, newsprint costs spiked so no bonus or raises." Now papers have gutted themselves, only putting out a fraction of the (much slimmer) newspapers, many made with recycled paper, and there is still is problem with newsprint?

Higher costs for newsprint would give management yet another reason to cut staff. And so it goes ...

We had a competing newspaper that refused to go to the slimmer size for years. We always joked the publisher must've had 20 years worth of the wider newsprint stored in barns. He finally relented a few years ago.

A chance to impose a tariff AND stick it to the Fake Noos?

    Trump won’t need Viagara tonight.
