I've been making fun of the Jets for 30 years, Joe,but they are far preferable to the Steelers.

Fart boy just wants me to post more. He figures if the Jets manage to keep it close and possibly win, I will contribute more to the thread.

    No sweat off my ass.
I am just worried for my SportsJournalists.com brothers, I don't want them to be intimidated into not posting, by reading so many of your boring football posts.

I've never been less interested in watching a Bears game. Happy I'll be working tonight.

No sweat, yet you post about it endlessly. Nobody buys your bs, fart boy.

Intimidated into not posting? That is one of the dumber things I've seen posted on this board.

I think this is a big game for the Steelers' coaching staff. They have lost far too many games like this in recent seasons. It just shouldn't happen the way this team has played the last three weeks. The offense has been dominant and the defense has improved. It seems like they have made adjustments and are much better than the team that lost to Tampa and barely got by Jacksonville. The Steelers aren't good enough to slack off in these games, but they keep doing it.

Not a great start. Jets are charging right down the field with very little difficulty on the opening possession.

Among the "amateurs" Jay Gruden referenced for their reporting on discord about the Redskins' quarterback decision was, apparently, DeSean Jackson. He was a guest on Fox today and said this:

"When the past decision was made for Colt to be benched and RGIII to come in and start, you kinda feel guys feeling a certain way about that," Jackson said. "In the locker room, I had to stand up and say something like, 'As players, that's not our job. We can't worry about that.

"The only thing we can worry about is going out on Sundays and play your best and put your best foot forward. You worry about what you're gonna do on the field, and let the coaches, the owners and everybody else have that relationship with RGIII or whoever's making that decision. As players, we gotta take care of what we can do.'"

This isn't even a surprise when the Steelers do this. They keep starting games like crap and playing their worst against bad teams. Jets lead, 10-0, after a 67-yard touchdown pass by Mike Vick to Graham.

And about to get worse. Antonio Brown fails to secure a reception in traffic and fumbles. First turnover for the Jets defense in five games. They are reviewing now, but he had control of the ball.

I do not understand this team, but they could very easily be down 17-0 momentarily.

It's called not being that good, professor.
The NFL is full of such teams.

Oh, it is definitely a flaw with the Steelers and the defense really does stink, but there still is no excuse for playing down to the competition so consistently over a number of seasons.

Sure, the Jets are a little better with Harvin settling in and Vick playing over Smith, but not this much better.

I'm guessing Jason Babin will be hearing from the league office this week. Very late cheap shot to Ben Roethlisberger's knees to help keep a Pittsburgh drive going. It would have been a delay of game call to make it third-and-10 for Pittsburgh. Everybody stopped except Babin.

Jets bail Babin out, with one defender knocking a ball in the air and another picking it off, Roethlisberger's first interception in 147 attempts. Nice play by the defense.

One thing working for the Jets is they are blowing the Steelers off the ball in the middle of the line. Nose tackle Steve McClendon gets pushed back at the snap every play. Maybe they should pull Casey Hampton out of retirement, too.

Bad job by the CBS crew. They were so busy rushing to the commercial break that they didn't even notice a possible fumble by Vick at the two-minute warning.

The officials completely missed it, too. Had no idea the ball was out. Replay blew it, too. Clearly a fumble in bounds recovered for Pittsburgh by Heyward. Even Carey admitted that they got it wrong.

Killer call, too, because Antonio Brown then fumbled the punt return. Jets will get at least three points out of it. Instead of the ball in New York territory, Pittsburgh will be down at least 20-0.

Edit: My bad. Jets miss the field goal, but the blown call cost the Steelers time, a time out and field position.
