Occupying an apartment from scratch

If you have a hitch, you can rent a trailer, or renting a pickup or van might be a bit cheaper. Otherwise, it's UHaul or the like< I would think.

 

I found this product online. Doubles as a couch and bed, but I was wondering if anybody has tried with something like this. Assembly required, I see. I don't have a tool set. $300 though, doesn't seem so bad. Thoughts?

Looks better than most futons I have seen, and that's basically what it is. Looks like there's a bit of a lump in the middle where it folds down that could cause some discomfort. Probably worth 300 bucks though. You can find some fairly comfortable futons, but might be a bit more pricey.

 

There's a video on that link that shows you how to put it together. You get an allen wrench with it. You won't need any external tools. But do try to make a friend so you have help in putting it together.

 

That'll be the hardest part.

 

Sofa beds are uncomfortable as sofas and beds.

 

I think what Versatile is saying here is if you find one that is a good sofa and an even better bed, you've really found something that's thread-worthy.
