Pat McAfee gets multi-year deal worth $30 million annually

To quote an old proverb, it pays to be a former punter.

The Pat McAfee Show apparently secured the bag, as the kids say. He signed a four-year deal that pays the show around $30 million annually, according to Shams (who oddly had the numbers for something outside of his wheelhouse, FWIW).

Not sure how much of that will directly go to McAfee but it's clear this deal has massive ramifications for sports media.

 

Also, how much of that money will McAfee actually see himself? Couple mil/year?

 

And that's not me criticizing him at all. I don't listen to the show so I'm mostly unfamiliar. But while this is life-altering money for McAfee, I doubt he gets "fuck you" money from this deal.

 

Dude made $18 million punting for the Colts. His life has already been altered.

The show is terrible in quality but he brings in the guests and puts the asses in the seats. You can't deny him that.
