    The Web.com Tour is looking for a freelance Digital Producer to work as part of PGA TOUR Digital’s Content Team for the 2019 season, including on-site digital/social media coverage at approximately 10-12 events throughout the season.

    SCOPE/POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Producer works closely with other members of the digital Content Team to plan and develop compelling stories for use across PGA TOUR websites and social media platforms. As a digital storyteller, the Producer is responsible for building content that will generate audience interaction across platforms.

    Job Responsibilities

    Conceptualize, create, develop and edit content for use on PGA TOUR websites and across social networks

    • Work with Content Team members to create unique packages as events develop

    • Coordinate with on-site media officials, videographers and other resources to deliver compelling content across platforms

    • Adhere to PGA TOUR brand standards and established voice across platforms

    • Work collaboratively with other content creators; take part in regular creative brainstorming and pitch sessions

    • Utilize available data to make or adjust programming decisions across platforms

    • Communicate effectively across the Content Team throughout shift rotations

    • Execute content on behalf of marketing and/or sales initiatives

    • Available during competition hours, which may include evenings and weekends.

    • Adapt to changing editorial conditions in a short time frame.

    • Additional projects as assigned, which may include dedicated time to a special project, as well as research-based projects.

    • Quick-turnaround, short-form video editing

    • Writing assistance as needed (Power Rankings, Q&As, Winner’s Bag files, potential occasional feature writing, etc)

    • Graphic design skills are a plus

    Responsibilities of on-site production (in addition to base rate, will be reimbursed for all travel expenses incurred each week within our accepted price range (flights, hotel, rental car, meals, etc).

    • Capturing timely, engaging photo and video content (competition-focused as well as behind-the-scenes)

    • Shooting and producing Instagram stories + quick-turnaround, short-form videos

    • Conducting Facebook Live and Periscope interviews, as well as interview packages for post-produced content

    • Identifying opportunities for off-the-course content with players, as well as fun content packages/competitions on-site during practice-round days

    • Real-time coordination with desk producers to ensure that most relevant, engaging content is produced and posted in a timely manner

    • Coordination with on-site media officials to facilitate player access/participation in content

    Highly recommend this job, especially for people that don't want to relocate right away.

    Kevin is awesome and will be very fun to work with. I applied for this position late last year but he forwarded on my information which led to me getting a similar job with the TOUR.

    Heckuva gig for a serious golf junkie. And Web.com Tour players are generally very media-friendly.
