Post a Song you are listening to now...

funeral for a friend - ej

An INCREDIBLE song, one inexplicably left off of every Greatest Hits CD EJ has put out.

And good luck trying to download it on iTunes. You've got to buy the whole "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" album just to get that song.

Yes, but "Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road" is worth it on its own merits. Shoot, every album, save for maybe "Empty Sky," is worth buying from his pre-drug days.

And we know why "Funeral For a Friend (Love Lies Bleeding) isn't on any compilation: At over 14 minutes, it's too long. And that's terribly "unpopular."

The 14 minutes bothers me not a whit.

Chuck three other songs and there you go. Hell, the guy's got what, three, four "Greatest Hits" compilations?

Birdscribe, I don't doubt that the length of the track doesn't bother you. We're on the same side here ...

EJ has enough compilations ... and I don't think any of them have made room for "Funeral." I'm in complete agreement, but needed to offer the likely mainstream excuse.

Oh, yeah ... to stay on topic. ;D

Duly noted, Messr Mills. As is the fact the mainstream excuse blows goats.

Back to topic "Holiday in Cambodia" -- Dead Kennedy's (It's on in my son's room)
