That only works if the people being indicted aren't capable of being easily cast aside by the President. Who in this case is a man who will eagerly cast aside anyone.

NC, what is your fake news average these days? Are you gullible in real life? How many multi-level marketing schemes have you attempted?

Casting people aside is one way to get them singing like Caruso to prosecutors. If Mike Flynn's looking at hard time with no help (pardon) from Trump, what's his incentive for being loyal.

The prosecutors can't go after Trump and he can and will pardon anyone else if it comes to it, so who cares?

You keep thinking normal mechanisms apply here, but they won't. Republicans realize that now.

The question of whether the President can be charged with a crime has never been formally tested in the courts. Also, once pardoned, a person must testify truthfully under oath when summoned or pardon is invalidated. It can't buy silence, only rent it for awhile.

    Oh, well, OK ...

Then-FBI Director James Comey knew that a critical piece of information relating to the investigation into Hillary Clinton's email was fake -- created by Russian intelligence -- but he feared that if it became public it would undermine the probe and the Justice Department itself, according to multiple officials with knowledge of the process.

Sources: Comey acted on Russian intelligence he knew was fake - CNNPolitics.com

Wait, the Marshal of the Suprme Court told Trump he couldn't pardon anyone. Plus, Hatch is getting classified briefings to prepare him when he becomes president.
