I agree. I got a gallon of milk for $1.62 yesterday at Wal-Mart. I usually try to stay more local, and with coupons and discount cards they can stay competitive but I never see Wal-Mart higher on average. In my area, Dollar General seems to fill in the gaps in areas too small to support a Wal-Mart.
