Purchasing a Rivals.com website

I'm wanting to look into purchasing a Rivals.com website. In fact, I was wanting to look into purchasing multiple that haven't been in use for quite awhile. How would I go about it? Rivals makes it extremely hard to find any contact information so I could ask.

You can probably get a Scout.com site for less than it would cost you to buy an ABA franchise.

John Talman is in charge of their publisher network.

I have no idea how their set-up works now, especially in the wake of the Yahoo sale. But in the past, you wouldn't purchase the site. You'd enter into a contract agreement to run it. They'd get a percentage of the subscription revenue and you'd get a percentage of the subscription revenue.

They own the rights to the site. The only time that changes is when they want to connect with an already established site that isn't in their network.

This is exactly the sort of information I was looking for. Thanks, SoloFlyer. You wouldn't happen to have any contact info for Mr. Talman, would you? An email or a number.

Would you happen to know the person to contact for 247Sports? They have smaller websites that don't have a specific publisher for that team -- and they don't have a message board. I want to see about trying to get on board there.
