    Hello everyone,
A week ago, I was looking at flights, hotel rooms, etc. for BYU's 2018 football travel schedule. Tonight, I'm looking for a job.
After more than 28 years at The Salt Lake Tribune, the last 10 as BYU football and basketball beat writer, I was laid off on Monday, May 14, along with 33 other Tribune staffers.
I'm suddenly another unemployed, mid-50s sportswriter looking for a place to land.
Meantime, I'm your man in the Salt Lake City-Provo area for any sports coverage needs you might need.
Thanks, Jay Drew (formerly of the Salt Lake Tribune)

Another rotten week in a rotten business, unfortunately. Many of us have read your work, Jay ... especially those of us who cover/follow CFB. Hope you land on your feet somehow.

BTW, there's an entire thread discussing the Salt Lake City situation here: New ownership in Salt Lake
