    Surprised that this hasn't hit the SJ boards yet, but former Charlotte News/Charlotte Observer columnist Ron Green Sr. passed away Wednesday at age 95 ...

    A great column on the guy by another former Observer columnist, Tom Sorenson ...

    Yep, Sorensen. Exceptional. (And yes, so is Scott Fowler.)

    So was Ron Green, Sr., who always made the readers feel at home at Augusta.

    All the best to Ron Jr. and everyone else in the Observer fam who worked with Ron Sr. RIP, good sir and Thank You.
