    had a bad feeling when he was not at the home opener ceremonies. But 92 is a hell of a ride and he had a great time doing it. Dude built his own house.

    I can't think of a team better built for a ballpark than the 1980s Cardinals and Astroturfed Busch Stadium. And Whitey used that advantage to his advantage. When I think of great St. Louis managers, it's Schoendienst, Herzog and LaRussa in that order. RIP.
