Doug Ferguson would be asking questions about Tiger, anyway (I'm kidding, mostly).

I think it's from his own perspective. Azinger loves to hear himself talk to much he never missed a chance to chat with media. He's been one of the best of all time and perhaps he thinks other guys will find it tougher. I don't know.

I'm going to disagree with you. I think Hicks has long passed Nantz in quality. He doesn't take it quite as serious.

    Actually, Doug's not there.

I've already made the joke that it isn't an Open without grey skies, wind gusts, rain coming down horizontally and a couple of cattle emerging from spots that used to be bunkers.

After a grey Thursday, it has been two sunny, calm days. Half-jokingly, it's no fun. Seriously, this and the weekend at Augusta are the best two weekends on the golf calendar.

Didn't get to watch it live today. Watching the replay now. They definitely toughened this thing up since the weather couldn't.

Spieth probably tore up a room after he got done running to the practice green and isn't sleeping tonight. 14, 17 and 18 and he left a few shots out there Friday.

I like Morikawa to win this.

And, yes, I miss the Open weather. There was more rain at the John Deere last week than at the Open.

Agreed. Nantz knows the sport cold, but the reverence is too much. Imagine him at the Open. Probably spend half his time invoking William the Conquerer, the Duke of Wellington, and Winston Churchill.

Morikawa's par save on 10 from about 20 feet might have been bigger than the three consecutive birdies he made to take the outright lead. Balls of steel.

Yeah, I've never been much of a fanboy of any golfer. I enjoy watching the sport but have never much cared who wins.
This kid could grow on me. I really like everything about him.

Yeah, he's a lot of fun to watch. Thought Spieth was going to go into the fetal position with two early bogeys after the disaster to end Saturday, but 6 under in the last eight holes. Great stuff.

The first five or six holes were a slog for everybody except Morikawa. Suddenly, we've got a major. I had forgotten how much I like the Open, even if the conditions are perfect. Nothing's tricked up. Pure golf.

EDIT: Heard Bam Bam shot 65 today with the driver that sucks. Good for him.

EDIT EDIT: Feherty just said what I was thinking. Man, there are going to be a lot of sunburned Brits tonight.
