Either way, the right thing was done.

Can the French sub in an extra person for the PKs, to make sure it's 11-on-11? I don't think so, but just making sure.

If it's Barthez vs. Buffon, I'd bet my house on Buffon. But ...

Imagine Michael Jordan, in overtime of Game 7 of the NBA Finals, getting himself thrown out of the game.

    Unbelievable.

Makes you wonder if somehow the fix is in. It's so insane, that's about the most logical conclusion.

Someone said it before and I'll agree: If Italy can't win this one on PKs, they might never do it.

No, they can't sub anyone in. Whoever is on the field at the end of OT is the only players eligible to shoot in PKs.

That said, I can't think of a single instance (at least, in a big match) where PKs have gone to 10 or 11. Anybody know their futbol history? Not that this one's going that far, either ...

I can't. But what happens if they're tied after everyone has shot? Start over?

    The Tie Domi of soccer?

Fuck, de Rossi deserves a head butt, but take him out back afterward. Don't do it with a billion people watching. Fuck.
