I'm more than willing to believe the cops would actively seek to cover up a bad shooting.

I also believe they would go into defense mode immediately after a good shooting, because that's how the cops act. They are paranoid, and desperate to protect their own. So, unfortunately, they act the same way in response to a good shooting and a bad shooting.

I'm not latching onto anything the cops have said.

But, the "Gentle Giant" narrative has already been proven false.

Meanwhile, at this very moment, Benjamin Crump, the Brown family lawyer (who was also the Martin family attorney) once again accused Wilson of "executing" Brown in cold blood.

You know, it used to be that if a cop shot someone, then that person needed to have a gun in their hand or, at least, a knife.

Now it has become that the cop just has to say that they felt threatened.

Most police have at least three weapon options before choosing their gun to deal with people.

Wilson could have used his asp, or pepper spray or a taser. He made the choice to use his gun but did he use the others? That isn't clear but signs point to no. So while Wilson didn't wake up that morning with the thought he was going to shoot and kill someone later that day he most certainly got to play judge, jury and executioner on the street and that's where people have a problem.

The reality is, since I'm white, I don't have much chance of getting shot, or arrested or even pulled over today but if I'm out reporting, I most certainly could be arrested because a cop felt like it and that's what has people stirred up.

The incredible power police have and have been given more and more is the root of it, the fancy guns and tanks are just evidence of it.

It also used to be that there was a very high bar to anyone using deadly force in response to a threat. But now that there are stand-your-ground laws all over the place (such as what helped get George Zimmerman out of trouble in Florida), you can pretty much shoot if someone looks at you sideways.

How does accusing the cop of "execution" represent the family?

They are not in jeopardy. They do not need a lawyer making outrageous accusations on their behalf.

It's irresponsible deck. Plain and simple. You shouldn't defend it.

A video of Brown robbing a store is considered "slander". What is an accusation of "execution"?

And, the Brown video is used to justify the community anger, and violence.

What do we think accusations of murder do to the relationship between the police and the community?
