Same here. I blitz way too much.

Blitzing works for me, but it helps that i play as a d-end and get the quick jump on almost every snap too. So I regularly get 10 sacks a game as a team.

But the CPU is the same way -- I get sacked about 8 times a game and can't move the ball at all. Too much offense has not been a problem for me or the computer so far. Not by a long shot.

A question for those with Xbox 360s. The Arcade one seems to be the cheapest, but I've read that it doesn't have a hard drive. Does that mean I have to buy one to play games at all, or is it just to save stuff? I'm looking into getting one, but don't want to spend more money for a premium one if the arcade will work just fine.

You don't need the hard drive to play games.

I believe you can save most game files to the 256 MB memory card, which comes with the Arcade (I think). However, you won't be able to download & save game demos, full games (from the XBox Live Arcade) or additional content for games.

You can always pick up a hard drive later.

I only get about 1-3 sacks per game, but I also don't give up that many as well.

Do a google search for NCAA sliders. You can find a few sites that have pretty decent sliders that give you good sim-style play.

Is there HD support with the Arcade?

IMO, FS/SS is the way to go in football games.

    Yes to the HD question.

I always go defensive end. But I've never tried safety. Seems to me it's too hard to see the entire field and it's too likely you'll lose track of a receiver. Although I can see how playing as a safety could net you quite a few picks.

I only play FS or DE. mostly FS. might give up some runs, but I never get beat deep - I'm always the last guy back on the field.

Always DE. The two or three times I have tried to play as a S I lose track of a receiver. I have enough problems giving up huge passing numbers per game. I just gave up 334 to Ne-Fucking-braska.

I still can't run a 40 faster than 5.2 on the new Madden. Freakin' pisses me off.

Do 10 windsprints outside, the boot up Madden and try again. 4.3, guaranteed.
