Although more honesty helps, the problem is often that both sides *think* they are communicating clearly.

That means the guy has to actually ask what the girl wants, listen to her answers, and follow those suggestions -- or offer some of his own. Does that happen in the real world?

Vice versa as well, of course. ;D

    Winner.

And for as much crap as girls give guys for being 'dense' and not getting our 'hints', some girls are just as guilty. I've been treated like one of the guys for so long with most of my friends that if a guy, even after a date, said 'you're cool, let's hang out again' or some such thing, it wouldn't even phase me.

    Times two.

I'm still having trouble being out in the real world (i.e. not a news room) and adjusting to how people (i.e. women) operate and think.

They're so freakin' insecure and always trying to read between the lines. Astounds me sometimes.

"What does it mean when he says this? Why didn't he ask me how I was doing? He hasn't called yet today ..."

    Good friggin' God.

I hope it still happens in the real world. From both sides!

  6. I'm getting hungry, so I'll bite. Mikey, you sure are pretty.

Just don't bite me. That's not part of the deal.

    Yet.

    We can negotiate later.

Boys don't just text girls to say 'I was just thinking of you' and there not be more to it, right?

    Sadly yes.

Holy shit is this funny. I am seriously falling all over again for a woman I have known since I was 13. We have been IMing while working a lot. She doesn't live anywhere near me, though, so I am frustrated.

I did the "I was just thinking about you" thing yesterady, and yeah, there was more to it. But she seemed to know and didn't mind.

  11. They might do it just because, but usually, I'd imagine, there is more behind it. Depends on the situation.

I envy any woman who has every man who texts that to her mean something more.

If that were the case, I'd have like 5 guys in love with me. Sadly, no.
