Pretty steady roll in the Inland Empire. Not strong, but long.

It was an odd quake because there was no real shaking. We were in a restaurant and it felt like someone shook our booth. Other diners said the same.

Wife's family lives in Ridgecrest. So far everyone seems to be fine. A little worried about her grandpa. As weird as it is, heard on CNN the power at the assisted living center where he lives is out.

My facebook is blowing up with people posting there could be another big one rolling in a few minutes. NAWS China Lake saying early predictors are suggesting another is coming. Fingers crossed

We were rolling in Irvine when my wife got a text from her sister that they were rolling in Vegas. This is a very far-reaching shaker.

A reminder: you can't predict earthquakes. Someone in Kern County will be getting their computer access taken away:

Roommate at Fresno State was from Ridgecrest. Best wishes to all Golden Staters. Here's hoping the San Andreas decides it's not at fault today.

Listening to the USGS presser just now. The scientist spokeswoman was amazing. "If anyone is assigning a time, they're not basing that on science."

Full disclosure: I did bite on that same report.

Loved her explanation of how fault lines move, by snapping her fingers.

As a lifelong NorCal guy 6.6 is not a big deal; deal with it. When you get to 7, which is much bigger than 6.6, then call
