That song was in a movie that I really enjoyed, but I can't remember which. Anyone know?

When's the last time you saw someone shove their hand under armpit and make the fart noise?

It's a common conceit to say that kids don't put baseball cards in their spokes anymore but who knows if that was ever a mass thing back in the 50s/60s. I think it's just a convenient glory-days crutch lazy writers employ.

    This is a great thread.

I actually heard this sound for the first time in years and years because my cable modem was on the fritz:

    "You've Got Mail!"

Remember when the full sized GM cars like Cadillac and Buick had horns that sounded like a tugboat was coming? Now they all have that sissified high pitch chirp like every car on the road.

I hardly hear the generic Nokia cell phone ring anymore. We have a woman whose ring is country for her daughter and rock for friends.

    A modem dialing up
The standard ring that used to be on every cell phone ...
    No need to DB.
The sound of a tape coming out of a VCR.
Growing up I had a gas stove and then it was all-electric until I moved into my current house, which is gas. I had forgotten the noise the burner made as it was lighting.
