    Description:

    WANTED SPORTS EDITOR/WRITER for the only daily newspaper in the Big Horn Basin: The Northern Wyoming Daily News in Worland, Wyoming, is seeking a sports editor/writer to take over our sports section.

    The sports section primarily covers local prep sports in six communities that are passionate about their student-athletes. You will have the opportunity to make this section your own and include summer baseball, outdoor and recreational sports, rodeos and more.

    The ideal candidate for this position will have great news judgment, be self-motivated and have the drive to provide excellent sports and outdoor coverage. You will be able write compelling game stories, features and columns. Photography skills are a necessity. The ability to work on deadline is a must. Experience with Adobe CreativeSuite is preferred.

    We offer a competitive starting salary and benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience.

    I worked for one of their sister papers just on the other side of the mountain, about an hour away and the closest town to Worland. I can tell you a lot about the job, owners and area if interested.
