    Location: Glens Falls, New York
    Job Status: Full-time
    Salary: Negotiable
    Website: http://www.poststar.com

    Description:

The Post-Star is looking for a solid all-around journalist to join our sports staff. We cover a broad range of sports, including high schools, pro hockey, a summer college baseball team, three state tournaments and horse racing at Saratoga.

The person who fills this position will primarily cover high schools, write features and help out with the daily operation of our department. Multimedia skills are a must. We prefer journalists with daily newspaper (or similar) experience, but will consider an exceptional entry-level candidate. Many of the former writers who have held this position have gone on to bigger things in the media world.

To apply for this opening, click here. Feel free to send examples of your work directly to me. Anyone with questions may contact Sports Editor Greg Brownell at brownell@poststar.com.

Glens Falls is where @Phish performed their first Halloween show, covering The Beatles White album.

I would apply if it meant solely covering the new ECHL team, the summer baseball team and the pony show.

As someone who's first job was at The Post-Star, I can't say enough about the opportunity to work with and learn from Greg Brownell. It's been a long time since I've worked there, but I wouldn't trade my two years there. This is good gig for someone who wants to work hard and enjoy the freedom to try different things. You also get to live in a really neat area with the lakes in the summer, the ponies at Saratoga and the skiing in the winter in the Adirondacks.

Great opportunity for someone to work for a true pro in Greg Brownell who knows how to nurture and develop talent. I highly endorse this gig.

I glanced quickly at email, thought it said @pornstar.com. Would have applied if that was the actual e-mail
