    Paxton paper.

On the plus side, there is a casino in Michigan City (plus a brand new one in New Buffalo, MI, which is very close).

On the down side, you won't make enough to be able to go there.

This is a good job and a good place to start for a young, eager journalist. I started my career in Michigan City. Adam is a good person to work with.

I'm not sure what the beef with Paxton is. I've been working for a Paxton newspaper for more than four years and it has been a great experience. Our SE position is open now. If anyone wants info, PM me.

Ask Durham how they feel about Paxton.

I understand that part of it. They didn't handle things well in Durham. But I think I'd learn more about a particular shop before I'd condemn it because of ownership.

Oh there are lots of stories I (and others) could tell (none of which involve Durham).

And just for clarification, Michigan City (city and newspaper) is a fine place.

Maybe Paxton just hates North Carolina, because what happened in Durham happened in High Point the year before.

Wasn't this once the flagship of the Nixon chain?
