    This is one of several jobs we will be filling in the future at SportsManias.com, where I am now VP. We're growing quickly and will be launching exciting new initiatives in 2015 and 2016.

    PRODUCT MANAGER, SPORTSMANIAS.COM
    The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout
    the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer
    requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales,
    marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The
    Product Manager’s job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company’s
    overall strategy and goals.
    Key Responsibilities
    ● Collaborate with principals to define the product strategy and roadmap.
    ● Needs to be aware of all the elements of the product that will be affected by
    marketing and sales needs.
    ● Creates and prioritizes the product backlog, which is list of things to be done by
    the development team (Sprint plan).
    ● At the end of the development sprint, the product manager is responsible for
    verifying that the acceptance criteria have been met.
    ● Decide features that need to be added because users are asking for it, or
    because the feature is needed to stay competitive.
    ● Act as point of first reference for all product related enquiries and work
    collaboratively with different teams (Marketing, Development, etc) to address any
    issues that may arise.
    ● Specifying market requirements for product by conducting market research
    supported by ongoing
    conversations with customers and noncustomers.
    ● Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily
    Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market
    requirements, product contract, and positioning.
    ● Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product. Answering questions
    such as:
    ● Are the partnership requirements feasible (in time and scope)?
    ● What elements of the product will be affected by the partnership and are
    those elements ready for the needs of the partnership?
