What if it’s the first-ever shutout inning?

Absolutely insane. It isn't like the current ownership didn't have a hand in the original build. Though I must add, the team could move to Portland and know the city has a better rep for beer than their current city.

And what the hell is going on with the A's? There is bad and there is the absurd run differential they are accumulating. Its astounding. And even worse - the product on the field isn't the worst part of the organization's year so far, bungled move, announcer comments etc.

And 10 years from now, if any of us are still here, we'll be lamenting how the new person is even worse than Manfred.

The difference is, Kuhn and Selig actually liked baseball. Manfred's completely indifferent to it. If he got a bigger job offer from, oh, Microsoft or even some international arms trafficker (not that any business would him for such a post), he'd be gone in a heartbeat. Hell, even GW Bush would be miles better.

"Sorry, Ruger, your current guns are sadly outdated and deteriorating. Plus, we demand an extra bullet in the chamber once we've shot nine rounds and a designated shooter for every squad. Saudi Arabia is offering a buy one, get one armed conflict if we move our operations to the Middle East, so we're going to go public with our complaints."

Does Alek Manoah owe MLB Analyst Anthony Recker an apology? Manoah reacted angrily when Recker apparently said something about his conditioning in the offseason. He doubled down when Recker apologized, bragging about his statistics and honors last season. Manoah has been absolutely horrid this season. I've read comments about him gaining weight since 2022, but I'm not sure if that is true. He was a very big guy then, too.

Of course, I'm half-kidding about the apology, but I wonder if it is the conditioning or something else, but Manoah is a mess this season.

The Blue Jays: At least we'll never have another pitcher who runs his mouth as incessantly and as uselessly as Marcus Stroman.

The big mouth and the even bigger body weren't nearly as much of an issue when he was pitching well.

That is true, and unlike Manoah, Stroman generally backs it up. But he also never ever ever shuts up.
