I'll admit, I got the idea from a tweet by Super 70s Sports.

If "Other," list it. There's no wrong answer.

Ack. The editor didn't allow me to add the WKRP episode BEFORE "other." Or to spell "Ignatowski" correctly.

    Carry on.

You kind of need this by decade. I'm too young for Taxi and Mary Tyler Moore.

Shrinkage is hilarious. Dinner Party is fantastic in how cringy it is.

Friends "We Were On a Break" is up there.

There are at least 25 Seinfeld episodes that could be on the list.

And where do comedy-drama shows come into the mix?

Christopher Lloyd is so good. I always remember this scene, which pays off brilliantly at about the 6:50 mark. (You might recognize one of the other actors, too.)

    Great thread.

While I honor the choices above, every sitcom episode in history is a footnote to I Love Lucy.

Either Lucy Does a TV Commercial or Job Switching (Lucy and Ethel go to work in a candy factory.)

I'm a little biased on this one (see signature)

"Cigar Store Indian" is right up there with "Soup Nazi" in the Seinfeld Hall of Fame.
The moment when Kramer blows by in the taxi is one of funniest payoffs ever. Perfect timing and execution.

EDIT: I'll leave the link below because the entire clip is brilliant sitcom stuff all the way.

Can't argue with any on the list. Not sure if animation is allowed, but I'd throw in "Marge vs. The Monorail" Simpson's episode.
