No, unlike you -- I don't claim to be.

And I also think that sometimes you show your ass when you act as if you and the rest of the "liberal" christians like Tony Campolo are somehow morally superior and different than the ultra-conservative religious people you claim to have so much contempt for.

You are no different and both the christian right and left would do very well if they'd do us all a favor and leave their holy wars in their churches and keep them the heck out of politics.

Where did I ever claim to be Christ-like?
And you're the one who brought up politics and the Christian connection here. I made two points to Yawn about his politics and his religion which were not related to each other.
I just find it incredible that so many of the Christians on this board like to question the faith of the others.
I'll be happy to answer any questions, but I don't say, "Well, you're not a believer."

I just find it absolutely amazing that anyone who claims to be a christian would call those people who believe homosexuality is a sin "hateful" because I think it is very clearly written that homosexuality, along with fornication and a whole lot of other perverted forms of sex is a sin.

And God's laws don't change to "keep with the times and change in culture" which is why the religious left is in many ways so fraudulant.

Demo,

I know it's not always easy, but just ignore the little twerp. He's not worth the keystrokes.

You mean like, ignore me to the point where you make a special visit to a thread you hadn't posted on to try, unsuccessfully to insult me?

Yep, that sounds like a plan, you are doing such a great job of it yourself and all.....

BACK ON TOPIC:

I think Jim Webb would be absolutely perfect. His foreign policy experience is spot on. Like Obama, he was against the war from the start and spelled out the consequences, which turned out to be absolutely correct.

He's also introduced the enhanced GI Bill and a sane troop rotation policy that the Republicans opposed.

And (I hate typing these words) but the blue-collar voters would like him because he actually wrote a book on the hill people based on his Scottish ancestry.

But. . .as has been noted, do you want to take him out of the Senate?

Grimace, if you go to google and type in the word "immaturity" as I was when trying to find a good image to post to describe Thomas Petty, I saw a caricature that looks an awful lot like you. It was on there last night...unfortunately it's gone now. I guess you bought it's removal

Second attempt -- swing and a miss -- you CAN'T IGNORE ME and you know it.....

But keep trying to act like you really are interested in discussing Veep choices, a topic that died four pages ago, which, you'd know if you had actually been a part of the discussion, but since the only reason you came here was, well to unsuccessfully attempt to insult me, now you are unsuccessfully trying to save face.....

I'm watching this event in South Dakota and the thought crossed my mind ---

How about Tom Daschle for VP for Obama?

Doesn't bring much. Plus he's been out of the game for a while. And he's not exactly a ball of fire on the stump.
Cabinet, maybe.
