Hopefully these two don’t spend too much time on social media and become jaded assholes. :)

Damn, there's still hope for mankind. Brought chills and water to my eyes. Wonderful kid, I presume wonderful parents who did it right as well.

Pitcher gets it. That strikeout has the potential to affect his friend more negatively than the celebration would affect him positively.

Pitch looked outside. Catcher did a good job of framing it.

... did I miss the point?

If they're really best friends, pitcher had to tell him "Listen brother.......I'm sorry I struck you out. But you really do suck." Batter tells him "That's ok.......congrats on going to state.......by the way.....while you're gone........I'm gonna be fucking your girlfriend."

Score was 17-10. A real friend would have served up a meatball. 17-11 final, what's the difference?

    (But it is cool.)

I batted against my best friend a few times in Babe Ruth ball and now, 40 years later, he still busts my chops about striking me out and I give him crap for the ball I roped into right field.

Jesus Christ. A “killer instinct” is fine if you’re training members of the military. If you’re a coach teaching the kids to be competitive, you can still do that without demanding your players be unsportsmanlike dickbags.

I have a cousin who still bitches about me striking him out twice in little league, looking the second time.

    The game was in 1987.
