Thoughts from Phoenix

I'm afraid I never found out the name of the hotel he was in. I'm back home now, so I don't have any way of checking.

Last time I talked to him, I called him from the Brewers-Angels game. We'd planned to hook up there, but he said he was too hot (it was about 105 there) and left, so we never got together Friday.

He mentioned Friday night that he was trying to catch a ride home with another guy from news side on his paper. It would've been a fairly long drive, and I know he had kind of a long weekend, so it's entirely possible he's sleeping right now.

 

it's quite a drive. hopefully that's it.

Thanks for the concern everyone.
Here is what transpired:
Friday night passed out at 3 a.m., failed to have Songbird-esque experience with said couple in hotel room.
Woke up at 11 a.m. started drinking heavily at 1 p.m. at friend's house while watching WSU spit the bit.
Friend didn't have internet so I couldn't get on here. Went to crazy bar in Tempe, continued heavy drinking, hooked up with ASU girl.
Woke up at 9 a.m. Sunday still drunk from night before. Drove to Tucson watched the first 4 1/2 innings of A's-Diamondbacks, hit road at 3 p.m. arrived home at 1:45 a.m. and passed out. Still didn't have internet until arriving at work a little while ago.
Again thanks for the concern. Oh, and OTD and old_tony, my cell phone died, hence the inability to get ahold of me.

That's pretty much how I had it mapped out, but there was some concern. Glad you made it home OK.

Damn good to hear you\'re OK. I was starting to fear the worst. Instead, it sounds like you had the best of times. A weekend you\'ll never forget, at least the parts you can remember.
