Come on, man. Step up and be a parent. Take his cell phone away, enabler.

I did -- after we got the bill. Where's the government when you need 'em? I mean, I get calls from the credit card companies about suspicious charges. I would appreciate a call from the cell phone company saying, "Did you know someone is calling information from your son's cell phone and it costs $1.50 a pop?"

Only if he's used it to take pictures of a bridge, building, etc. Then he's definitely a terrorist and needs to be stopped.

Typical for TV: the evidence that they "aren't linked to terrorism" consists of denials by their friends and relatives. Gee, I guess that settles it. ::) ::)

Yeah, that's almost as shaky as the evidence that they "are" linked to terrorism.

There have been over 100 million crossings of the Mackinac Bridge in 49 years, and two (2) vehicles have gone over the side. One was a suspected suicide, and the other was a dimwit in a Yugo going 75 mph (speed limit 45) in a screaming hailstorm with wind gusts of 50 mph.

Hard to say one way or the other, but if they're arrested for possible terror activities, then wouldn't it kind of trump this statement?

Authorities contacted the office of Gov. Jennifer Granholm about the men, The Detroit News reported. Granholm spokeswoman Liz Boyd said: "At this point, there is no credible evidence of a terrorist activity" against the bridge.

If they're under arrest for possible activities, then doesn't that by definition mean evidence OF terror activities?

Not with this administration. These guys may be terrorists, but the Cheney administration will treat you as such if there is even a 1 percent chance that it might just be true. Ron Suskind has a book on the subject.

  10. Poll numbers stuck in the 30s?
Rush the Brits into making a bust.
Arrest some dipshits and talk scarily about a bridge.
Hold an Alaska Airways plane on the runway long enough for CNN to get there.
    Presto!
Oops, poll numbers still stuck in the 30s.
But Reuters is the source of phony news.
And, no, I don't believe a word that comes out of this government regarding terrorism.

Wisconsin's ham-fisted attempt to take the UP by force fails.

I guess UPers will still have to be Michigan in name, Wisconsin in character. And when I say Wisconsin, I mean the part the rest of us make fun of.

Except for Sault Ste. Marie -- Michigan can keep it, Gibraltar or Guantanamo Bay-style.

That's YOOPERS, not U.P.ers. You sound like a troll!*

    * Troll being Yooper for anyone from Lower Michigan, because they live "below the bridge." Lots of trolls coming in a couple of months for deer season. Hey, you know who probably has the motive and means to bomb the Mackinac Bridge? Bambi, that's who.
