Three-year-old deaf student asked to stop signing his name

Because him signing his name apparently looks like a weapon, his school wants him to learn how to sign his name in a different way. The kid crosses his forefinger and index finger, and moves his hand up and down.

He uses Signing Exact English, but the school district wants him to change how he signs his name. I think it's pretty damn stupid ...

I think his parents need to tell the people running the school system to go fuck themselves.

    How do you sign that?

The problem is that it's the same gesture that the crips use. I can see the school boards point.

He should become a Texas Tech fan. He'll have their rally symbol down pat

He's signing his name, not making a weapon.

Not to mention, deaf people have been murdered by gang members who thought they were throwing up gang signs. Dumb bastards can't tell the difference between a gang sign and a deaf person using sign language.

I think he should change the sign for his name.

It should now be an extended middle finger.

You have any proof for that. It sounds like the most unbelievable, get off my lawn, old white man nonsense I have heard since I shut off the RNC.
