Tony Dungy woudn't want to "deal with" Michael Sam

    It's so football coach-y it's comical. God forbid (literally, in this case, considering Dungy's biblical stance on gay marriage) having an openly-gay player would present "a distraction," which is apparently the worst thing in all of the sports world.

    I liked a Deadspin commenter's take.

    That's how every coach feels. Dungy's anti-Teh Gay is well known, but coaches consider everything that isn't football to be a distraction. They're insane.

    Tony Dungy defended Marvin Harrison and advocated hard for Michael Vick after he got out of prison. But having Michael Sam on his team? That would be a bridge too far.

    Dungy is a fucking fraud and has been for a long time.

    Why some football media types think he's Yoda and that his opinions actually hold weight is beyond me.
