I don't necessarily trust that, either. It's probably much lower in reality.

Sorry, but these two bolded parts do not go together.

Today's L.A. Times tracking poll has Trump +7. Granted, the poll has been a pro-Trump outlier, but the trends that it has indicated are almost always reflected in the other polling. His lead in the poll continues to grow.

Talking to Hillary supporters the last few days who are casual poll watchers, they all seem to be of the opinion that these are normal ebbs and flows of polling, and that, soon enough, they'll swing back Hillary's way. That might end up being the case, but these polls don't swing by chance. The swings are triggered by largely identifiable news events. It may help her just to look healthy on stage during the first debate for an evening. Then again, she might pass out or cough for five minutes straight, at which point it's pretty much over.

That's ridiculous. Evan Osnos is a first-rate reporter and writer and has been for a very long time.

Sobering perhaps but kind of hard to view The New Yorker as being fair to Trump.
    Will take a look. Thx

So why is New Jersey's governor not in the state when the bombing suspects were captured? Shouldn't he be working, not campaigning?

It will be interesting to see if Trump enjoys the same kind of bounce after this terrorist attack that he received after Orlando, which was substantial.
