Penske Media Group found a bunch of money to jazz up Rolling Stone.

No word on how many fake rape stories or terrorists on the cover will be included.

Was talking to someone yesterday who recently got $600 to write a feature for them. Even the kid from Almost Famous would have turned that down.

    Very on-brand, paying hippie money.

Still, for the sake of everyone involved, I hope they can keep the magazine alive.

Here's what you do to get the price up. Tell him it's a think piece about a mid level band struggling with their own limitations in the harsh face of stardom.

F Rolling Stone. Cream should come back and just write about rock and roll.

Hard to write about music any more. Lotta free web sites out there.

Writing about music is easy. Just pick a couple dozen obscure artists that three people outside of their immediate families have ever heard of, and call it "The 25 Most Important Bands of 2018," and you've got yourself a winner.

Nah. That was true maybe 10/15 years ago. Now the most important artists - according to these sites of which you speak - are all pretty big superstars. Mostly in rap/hip-hop.

Then turn it into slideshow clickbait and list 33 bands.

A story about amplifiers should pay well.
