We have to go back! (Lost 2009 season)

That would explain some of the continuity errors. All shows make mistakes, but this one makes fewer than most and it's because they know how closely the fans study it. They've had some pretty bone-headed ones lately (like the bullet hole on Ben moving from heart to more right and the dialogue on the pier when they all go their separate ways).

Doc's recap:

About to indulge now.

Here's a question: Why was Daniel crying while watching the news coverage of Oceanic 815 at the bottom of the ocean? Was there some subconscious memory of his relationship with many of the people on the plane that was firing deep inside his mind and causing this sorrow?

My thought was maybe he had read about the crash in the journal and he just couldn't quite remember it, but he knew it was related to him somehow.

I HIGHLY suggest all of you read Doc's recap that I linked to.

Ho-lee shirt. Great stuff. I think it's his best of the season.

My favorite part was his comparision of Faraday rejected the "Whatever happened happens" theory with Locke losing faith in the button.

That could be the key each time that what he did (by trying via what the notebook told him) wound up not working?

The actor who plays Charlie has "nothing" scheduled for 2010.

Could he be "reborn" in the final season?

Could be. Because even though Eloise got the ball rolling when Daniel was a boy and kept it going with the post-college journal, Widmore's entrance during Dan's sobfest for O816 is what started the push for him to head to The Island.

I hope so. Charlie was awesome.

And the reason why Ben and Widmore cannot kill each other is that if either one of them died, the circle of events would change?

Interesting that this might not be Daniel's first trip back through time.

can anyone find a picture of the cover of the journal?

Maybe when Ben said Widmore "changed the rules," he meant that Widmore had changed Alex from a constant to a variable. I always figured it had something to do with time anyway (he knew Alex was alive in the future for some reason).

Yeah, I clearly remember his look of absolute shock when Keeney killed her. At first I thought he just figured the guy wouldn't do it, now I think he thought it was impossible.
