I kind of saw that as he wanted his quarterback to get the full spotlight of that moment.

Unless USC and TCU win out, Ohio State is safely in.

TCU not messing around today. One more hurdle.

That’s like the third time this year I’ve seen him do that.

Purdon’t losing at halftime to Indiana
    Illinois cruising at Northwestern
If Boilers win they play Michigan, otherwise it’s an Illinois-Michigan rematch

OK, that is a pure horseshit call in Bama’s favor.

You’re not going to the playoffs after getting your ass kicked by 20 points on your home field.

    RE:
-- Michigan-Ohio State -- Missed the third quarter. When I saw Michigan was ahead, I wanted it to go ahead and pulverize Ohio State, send the Buckeyes for CFP purgatory. Opens it up for USC, which still has a lot of work to do.

-- I couldn't let Michael Mothershed, the worst of the lot among horrible Pac-12 refs, go into retirement without comment. He and his crew did UCLA-Cal yesterday. Biggest goof was NOT advancing the chains after calling a first down. What I saw was, it was third-and-5. The guy ran for 4 yards, but the line judge called it a first down. The announcers, etc., said it was first-and-10, but the sticks weren't moved. Turned out the chain gang were the only ones who had it right because it wasn't a first down. A play was run, then they stopped to try to figure it out. The ref analyst was baffled and said you can't take away a play. But they did.
On Cal's final play of the game, it was trying for a tying touchdown. The fourth-down pass fell incomplete, but there was an obvious facemask penalty on the guy rushing the passer. That is Mothershed call and he didn't make it. I guess he retired a play early.

And possibly one game left vs. San Jose State, but not holding my breath on that one.
