The Titans offense didn't do anything! Tennessee won with three, count 'em, three, defensive TDs. Yeesh.

Do you seriously believe that? Or are you just trying to stir the shit? Tennesee had the ball for about 14 minutes, and didn't even crack 100 yards of TOTAL offense. They pulled out one of the flukiest wins in NFL history. How in the name of the football gods does that make them ready for prime time?

I'll add to the chorus here. You are way off on this one. The Titans won despite Young today. Three defensive touchdowns is incredibly flukish, though it does serve as a reminder that the Jags don't have a decent quarterback.

But David Garrard is light-years ahead of Young, who's the biggest draft bust in the last 25 years! [/hondo]

In my defense I did say it was MY WILD PREDICTION.

Return TDs are flukish indeed. Just ask the Bears. (Hi DOC!) :D

If done in one game by a bad defense, I agree. If done several times in two consecutive seasons by one of the best defenses in the NFL, it's no longer a fluke.

Looked to me like they won because of the kicker. :D

Hmm, see your point but they are incredibly fluky. I mean how else do you explain the Bucs never having a kickoff return for a TD intheir existence in the regular season. That's not bad coaching, it's just really fluky stuff. (least I think they don't have one yet)

The bucs haven't had a single kickoff return for a TD in I think 34 years. You were right.

I think every Steelers fan is thinking like that today. They would still need some help at 8-6, but I would have liked their chances.

To me, the loss to the Raiders was the ugliest. Oakland was pathetic. All the Steelers had to do that day was not turn the ball over. Even a mediocre offensive performance would have been enough that day.

The other thing I came away thinking today is that Willie Parker belongs in the Pro Bowl as the third running back in the AFC behind Tomlinson and Johnson. I know he's disappeared in a few games, but the numbers are just too good to ignore. He's got a real shot to be over 1,500 yards on the season and already has 14 total touchdowns.

Give them Devin Hester, Mel Gray or Dante Hall and they would have one by now. They seem to come out of nowhere, but (and may God strike me down if I ever do this again) to quote Joe Theesmann, "Great players make great plays."
