I know, but Green is playing against that Chargers defense today.

    So you chose Garrard instead.

Of course, I have Desmond Clark and Lee Evans sitting on the bench today.

Well, he just threw a TD so that will help me.
    CP/AT YDS TD INT
    D. Garrard 21/34 226 1 2

    ATT YDS TD LG
    6 43 0 20

P.S. After beating the Patriots 21-0, the Dolphins lose to the Bills.....21-0. JP Losman did great today.

Another week in the mediocrity parity world of the NFL. ::)

Everyone starts jumping on the Saints bandwagon last week after the blowout win at Dallas. Then they lay an egg at home today against the dog-ass, playing out the string Redskins.

The Dolphins shut out Tom Brady and friends last week, then get dominated in Buffalo this week.

A week ago at this time, people are saying the Bears can't win a championship with Rex Grossman, and maybe they still can't. But he's since had consecutive solid performances.

And the Jags, who need every win they can get to get a playoff berth.....

What's so "mediocre" about the Panthers? They would have to play about four notches better to achieve that lofty status.

First, they look awful against the Giants. Then they just rolled over and played dead against the Steelers. Oh yeah, both games were in Charlotte.

It really looks like '01 all over again. Not just the losing, but the nonverbal tip-offs that no one cares.

Funny, I mentioned on the Vickball thread that I'd see what the Panthers had today. Not much of anything, apparently.

Yes, the Steelers are playing a heck of a lot better now than they did the first half of the season. But the Browns put up more of a fight 10 days ago than the Panthers. Carolina couldn't even get any big plays out of Steve Smith against a pretty lousy Steelers' secondary.

Tampa Bay already in Bears territory w/1:31 to go. Matt Bryant warming up for another 62-yard game-winner!

OOP, that's it. Carolina has no fight. Ritalin Child isn't fighting for much of anything while running routes. Weinke couldn't hit the side of the stadium from five yards away. The line is a mess, and DeShaun can't create a hole or blast forward for yardage like Stephen Davis could. The defensive line isn't horrible but not half what it should be, the linebacking corps is shaky, and another safety needs to be brought in alongside Mike Minter. If they get those little problems figured out while having a heart transplant (or perhaps an installation altogether, can't take out a heart that's not there), they're OK. ::)

Don't look now, but the Titans are on a 5 game winning streak(7 of their last 9).
