Bullock had four chances to try the winning FG. To recap: Good from 51 (timeout called just before snap); blocked (offside); miss from 46 (timeout); miss (bounces off left upright). And we go to OT.

Officially, it was his third miss of the game.

P.S. Unemployed kickers, please send your resumes to the Houston Texans' offices.

They're about to win it. First and goal at the Tennessee 1 in OT.

Another stat: Leading rusher in KC's 17-16 win over Dallas -- Alex Smith, 57 yards.

Carolina is 2-14 in games decided by seven points or less under Rivera.

Nice catch on third and goal for the winning score -- and they didn't have to leave it to their soon-to-be-ex-kicker.

To answer the original question, Houston came back with a long drive to score in the final two minutes and got the two-pointer to tie it up, got the ball back with about a minute left and got into range for Bullock's miss at the buzzer.

Thanks. Was following the gamecast and Houston was struggling. Went to walk the dog, came back, and it was all tied up.

NFL is essentially a touch football league

I remember reading once that actually happened to a Bengals punter in the late 60s in his first, and only career game. The guy had something like a punt blocked, a shank, and fumbled a snap.

I've never been involved in a lightning delay in football before this season. This year, I've been part of two straight high school Fridays where lightning delayed the start of games. The LSU-UAB game last weekend was delayed 45 minutes and now the Saints-Bucs game.

Craziest year I've seen with this stuff.

Y'all start debating the global warming angle now....just not on this thread.
