Well now I'm f***ing pissed.

Football, I do remember Marshall McDougall as the 2B, but I thought Mike MacDougal was an FSU ace pitcher at one point, in the CWS.

Hope you're enjoying Sun Belt Media Days as much as I am.

EDIT - my mistake, he did go to Wake Forest. a simple google earlier in the night would have solved it

The Royals traded the only player I still gave a shirt about.

Mike MacDougal, one of the best young arms in baseball, dealt away for forking prospects.

I seriously think this guy has the tools to be a Nolan Ryan-type of starter: Lots of strikeouts, a few walks and wild pitches, but some nasty stuff.

Why they gave up on him, especially with that load of shirt they call a bullpen, is mind-boggling.

That's a huge pile of horseshirt right there.

But I don't think it's a bad deal for KC, if only because MacDougal is injury prone and hasn't exactly proven to have the coolness and confidence to be a top flight closer. He has some serious shirt, though.

That, and they need more than one good arm in the bullpen. If they're building for the future, then might as well start right now.

Heck, the Royals supposedly have targeted Rockies 1B prospect Ryan Shealy for a possible trade and have had scouts check him out. When's the last time the Royals actually targeted people to trade FOR as opposed to dumping? That alone is a welcome sign for Royals fans.

Just saw a clip of MacDougal with the ESPN report of the trade. Why does his hat seem to fall off with every pitch?

Dude could also use a sandwich or six.
