What’s your second-favorite way to waste time on the internet?

Not that I watch that much anyway, but my YouTube TV subscription is on pause til the start of college football season, which somehow means incrementally more time on this little black box with the magic screen.

Obviously SJ.com will always have pride of place in my browser, but I’m prone to get stuck on a loop of the same 10-20 sites I visit over and over. Need some variety in my diet.

A few weeks back I started binging The Number Ones column on Stereogum, which has been excellent. Started with my birth date (Island Girl - meh) and am up to Chariots of Fire in spring of 1982. This is going to do a great job of holding my interest for a while, but much like real-time me I see interest waning as I reach the 90s and then all but disappearing in the new millennium.

What are your second-favorite Internet guilty pleasures (non-porn division)?

Also, Google Earth is always a good draw.
Find your places of interest, then zoom in on 3D.

I still get a kick out of the Today's Front Pages site that used to be part of Newseum. I wish there was an archive, though.

Sporcle quizzes are a good time sink. I like dipping into the geography section to refresh my knowledge of flags, capitals, etc.

I watch an unreasonable amount of old sports and television shows on YouTube, the more obscure from my youth, the better. Crap you forgot even existed, like the Redd Foxx Show that was on ABC for like eight episodes in 1986, the Byron Allen Show from the early 1990s and a couple of years ago I went down the Johnny Bago rabbit hole. I honestly struggle to remember people's names and birthdays but I remember Johnny effin Bago was part of CBS's ill fated "Crimetime after Primetime" lineup in 1993 and ran after the local news on Saturday nights, which was usually when I was coming through the door after doing something dorky with my friends -- assuming I was out at all because I was 16.

I've always got a baseball game on, whether it's an old one or current.
