I'm reliably advised that the current, very new SE is on his way out already.

I have no idea if that's a good move or now. I simply am not informed enough to know. That said, what were his reasons?

Low is going to work for Rivals.
Mullen is likely to get the Vols beat, and I suppose that means he'll be moving that direction sooner rather than later.
Interesting times, the buzz has always been that the web can't be local, that's the advantage papers have, but Rivals is beginning to have people on the ground all over the place. I don't know what they plan next, but something is up.
And while the SE can't hit big-league pitching, Gannett isn't exactly putting out a big-league paper in Nashville anymore. Four-page summer sections?

Nashville is a tourist destination, one or two rungs below Orlando, has two major-league sports franchises and a top 30 TV market. So it isn't the bigs, but it isn't Triple-A either.
I don't know where you would put towns like Nashville or any of the others like Kansas City, Milwaukee and Cincinnati that fill that weird in-between.
