As part of its apparently extensive countdown to the college football season (just 140 days to go!), the Tuscaloosa News is doing a Top 25 list of the best programs. They came up with their own formula: Five categories based on last season, five all-time.

So who wants to take a shot at the top 10?

    Dye - you forgot Columbia.

It looks to me as what they're doing is like a college football version of when Sporting News does best sports city, or ESPN does the best pro sports franchise. I don't think that's ever been done before. ... and it can be updated every year.

If Harvard and Yale aren't on the list, it's bogus. Yale remains all time winningest program ever, and I believe most national titles, too. Long live Walter Camp and the flying wedge!

Wanna bet there'll be a riot if a certain program isn't No. 1.

And if in their justification, the Roll Tides are granted the 1973 national title, it's a joke. Look it up.
