    Yep - hadn't heard a single Frank Turner song, and then I saw him open for Isbell last year. Instantly became a huge fan.

    Just got tickets to see him in June -- he's touring with Lucero and The Menzingers.

    I'll check out Hubbard.

    I don't know. I think the lyrics describe a relationship that's hard but still worth working for, and I like the juxtaposition of the slow lyrical burn with the all-out jam that happens after.

    And I think Tweedy is one of the best writers -- or at least was, until he got straight -- in modern music. I Am Trying to Break Your Heart is the truth.

    I think it's actually been posted here before but here's a short clip of Jeff Tweedy talking about he accidentally ran into Jay Farrar after ten years of not speaking. In Mexico, of all places.
