Worst injuries in baseball history

Stuff about Conigliaro recently (40th anniversary stories) made me wonder what the worst baseball injuries have been.

Obviously, Ray Chapman got beaned and killed, so that's No. 1. But after that?

Dave Dravecky's arm breaking on a pitch?
    Herb Score?
    Tony C?
Ray Fosse getting plowed over by Rose?
Bobby Valentine, spikes caught in fence?
    Welcome your thoughts.

Robin Ventura fucked up his ankle pretty badly once upon a time.

Ventura's pride when Mr. Ryan pummeled him.

Jason Kendall almost losing his foot after stepping wring on first base in 1999.

  4. Don't forget Jason Kendall's broken leg. This isn;t the best photo of the injury, I remember on where he was sitting on the ground holding his bent ankle straight out, but it'l do.

Kendall and Ventura are 1 and 1A.

What about the dude from the Devil Rays whose arm broke twice (once in his comeback attempt)?

Looked for the video on youtube, can't find it. Have it on tape from that day's SportsCenter.

As I recall, his foot was hanging on literally just by the skin on the inside, or at least that's what it looked like. Crazy that he is still playing.

Moises Alou's leg went the wrong way that one time. That was pretty sick.

Ventura and Kendall are the two I remember vividly. Grusome.

Dravecky's arm busting mid-pitch is up there, if only for the freakish nature.

Wasn't totally freakish; everyone knew his bones were weakened from the cancer treatment.
