Sure wish we had an All-Star game thread to post it in. Oh, that's right, we do.

If you were picking a team tomorrow and needed a 3B -- who would you pick - A Rod or D Wright?

That depends. Would my team be up 10 runs during any point of said game, or would it be a postseason affair?

To actually answer boom's question: Wright.

If those were my only choices. There's another 3B out there I kind of like a lot.

Yeah, the third basemen in the NL East aren't too bad, are they?

    Mets -- Wright
    Marlins -- Cabrera
    Nationals -- Zimmerman
    Braves -- Jones
Phillies -- That festering piece of shit David fucking Bell

If I could pick any third baseman for this season, Wright would be fourth. I'd take A-Rod, Rolen and Cabrera. Of course, then I'd move A-Rod to short and Cabrera to LF.

But it will be funny to watch ESPN's talking heads bang that Wright for MVP drum until their hands bleed. Good entertainment.

Interesting... Wright homers early in the game to tie it. Then, with a one run lead, a man on first and one out, he hits into an inning ending double play. The American League goes on to win the game.

Isn't this type of situation what A-Rod gets blasted for; early innings home runs and hitting into late inning double plays?
