Where I disagree with the interpretation of the blown-save statistic is when a middle reliever comes in in the 7th inning of a 3-2 game, gives up a run and is charged with a blown save. It would seem fairly obvious that he wasn't in there to save the game, but rather to hold the lead. So it should be a blown hold, even though that phrase makes me throw up in my mouth a little.
