Good friend of mine is a very very good player.
He's a legitimate scratch golfer....prolly even into the plus category.
6000 used course out here about a month ago, he does the following.....

    Plays back 9 in 30.
    Nifty little 58.

Short course, but fairways very narrow, rough is thick and greens are roughly the size of your kitchen table.

93, but I'm terrible. I've played more this year than I have in the last five years combined and hit the range today. I think I may have something figured out with my irons, finally, and am looking forward to playing Sunday. It's been a hot minute since I've broken 100.

144 at Spring River in Roswell.

But ... and this is important ... I hit one tee shot so perfect, so flush, so beautiful, and that sucker flew down the middle of the fairway.

At the end of the day that's all I cared about ... once in my life I hit the golf ball like Tiger Woods.

    82. Like JC, that was awhile ago. Range from high 80s-high 90s now. Last round was a dazzling 42-50. Ugh.

Couldn't break 100 now on a dare, ended up giving my clubs to my son.

As a retiree, I have plenty of time to play and to work on my game. Alas, as a retiree, I just don't hit the damn ball far enough anymore to score well.

I've twice shot 78, but both times were on the course I've played more than any other, like 200 times total. My peak traveling handicap (around 10 years ago) was probably a 10.

About 4:50, give or take 30 seconds or so.

Not my best round (an 86) but the best I ever played was going 52-40 with 7 pars and 2 double bogeys on the back.
