Yeah but in a very uplifting way.

I think Sharon admitted in the letter that she's an alcoholic and thanked Ted for giving her the courage to admit it.

And lots of other good stuff in the episode, which is by far the best of the season and way up there for both seasons combined.

Yeah I could go either way in revealing the source. It's such a shirtty move by Nate, and against someone like Ted, maybe it strikes Trent a little differently than your average "anonymous source" breaking news?

The problem with The Independent not running it is Nate will just call someone else.

So does Nate get fired? Hard to imagine. I bet he resigns because Ted doesn't follow his advice or something, goes to work for Rupert and Ted finds a subtle way to signal to Nate his extreme disappointment.

If my boss had a nervous breakdown and I outed that to the press and they printed it, I would 100% be fired. I want to see actual consequences for Nate this season, not just Ted being "disappointed". It's one thing if you have an underling go to the press with something illegal, harassment, player abuse, etc. But this feels absolutely underhanded and gross. He's stabbing Ted in the back. I think that's why Trent told Ted. (I mean, Ted's not stupid. It wouldn't have taken him very long to figure out the source. Beard would NEVER. Roy strikes me as a "I mind my own damned business" kind of guy. And Rebecca and Ted are on great terms. He revealed it just to that group of people. And Beard and Roy at some point - maybe next week - are going to tell Ted the behavior they've witnessed from Nate.)

I think next season, we'll see Trent write a huge article on sports and mental health, but this time doing an in-depth interview with Ted when he's ready to talk about it.

I did like the Good Will Hunting homage. And Sam from Veep was very funny.

I can't decide whether the Roy/Keeley stuff was good, bad or weird. There was some lesson to be taught about the teacher telling Roy that the reason why her kids pictures were better was because of her sterner nature (as compared the Ted-like other teacher giving out lollipops).

Trent doesn't wait to have it published before asking for comment. That comes first. And he doesn't reveal his source. That's a small-town paper move not a major publication. He might have dropped a serious hint but wouldn't have outed Nate unless Nate was on the record.

But the episode was great. Love that final shot between Roy and Keeley. I'd hate to see then break up but that's where it's headed. They are very honest with each other and willing to be supportive and admit when they're wrong. Very healthy dynamic. But the story is doing a good job of naturally having the relationship end.

I want to like Nate. He's clearly trying to be taken more seriously than a kit guy who everyone spit on. He's someone with ideas and wants to be seen for them. Nate is about to make a seriously bad mistake and trust a guy who just wants to use him.

Can't wait for next week.

In the end, Mr. Corman was one of Apple TV's best shows this year. Even though Apple canceled it.
